Our History

Since opening our doors, Art On Glass has built a trusted reputation for quality glazing and outstanding customer service across March and Cambridgeshire. Today, we continue to supply and install high-quality windows, doors, conservatories and glass products for homeowners and the trade, backed by expert craftsmanship and friendly local service.

1977

Our journey began as a small glazing company founded by Father and Son, specialising in cutting glass and installing it into traditional timber windows. From the very beginning, customer service, quality workmanship, and family values were at the heart of the business.

1988

The business moved to a new premises and began manufacturing UPVC windows alongside producing our own double glazed units, marking a major step forward in the company’s growth and capabilities.

1994

Following the Father’s retirement, his Son took over the business, rebranding the company and relocating to the premises where we are proudly based today. During this time, manufacturing of our double glazed units increased significantly, while uPVC window manufacturing came to an end to focus on other areas of the business.

1997

The founders Grandson then joined the business making this the third generation, helping continue the strong family-run values that remain central to the company today. For the first 10 years, he was heavily involved within the manufacturing side of the business before moving into the office in 2004 to assist with the day-to-day running and continued growth of the company.

2007

We built fantastic long-standing relationships with suppliers we still proudly work with today, while also expanding our installation teams to keep up with increasing customer demand and company growth.

2020

Another major expansion saw the construction of a brand-new factory along with increased office space to support the continued growth of the business. During this period, we adapted and modernised our working practices and stopped manufacturing our own glass units to create additional space and improve efficiency across the company.

Present day

Today, we are proud to have a fantastic office team, experienced storeman, and multiple professional installation teams continuing to deliver high-quality double glazing, windows, doors, conservatories, and tiled SupaLite roof systems across March and Cambridgeshire. As a long-established family-run business, we remain committed to the same values we started with, such as trusted workmanship, excellent customer service, and taking pride in every project we complete.
